Why GiveRound is free for nonprofits and charities.

Nonprofits will have free access to GiveRound forever. We have no intention of ever charging the Seekers on our site. Here are a few reasons why:

Our primary focus is on SMEs.

Ok, yes, we know it’s strange that a site dedicated to giving would say that our main goal is to support small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) rather than nonprofits and charities (Seekers) who need their help, but we have a great reason.

SMEs are really good at their businesses. Fewer are really good at navigating the community donation and sponsorship requests they receive. Some find community giving really frustrating because it’s outside of their business passions and what they are good at.

We are helping SMEs manage their giving so that they can do it better and see more value in giving and sponsoring things overall. This is important because when SMEs have giving strategies, Seekers know what they can ask for, which saves time for everyone. And when SMEs have successes, more nonprofits and charities will reap the benefits with them.

By supporting SMEs, GiveRound is helping whole communities prosper.

Seekers already pay fees.

Seekers already pay fees for online transactions and fundraising prospect data searches, among other things. GiveRound’s primary focus is on being a productivity tool for businesses to handle their giving strategy and process, and their monthly subscription to GiveRound.com pays for that service. There is no need to double-dip and charge Seekers too.

We have a vision for great partnerships.

We want every penny that SMEs give to nonprofits and charities to go to their mission-based work. It builds better value for everyone! Seekers with more means can accomplish more to meet their mission-based goals. SMEs who support them can tell their communities about their giving and gain new fans and customers in the process.

We hope that GiveRound’s effect will be the creation of many new, valuable community partnerships in communities everywhere.
